Create a Welcome Voucher for your meed Loyalty Program

meed is not only a rewards platform to thank your regulars for other custom. It is also a compelling coupon delivery platform where you can set up an open-ended number of incentives to get your customers to return.


Today, we will create a welcome voucher. This redeemable coupon has one unique feature: It is displayed on a consumer's phone immediately after scanning your QR code in-store or your link on social media.


When they scan, they see this:

Setting up this welcome voucher is easy. Ensure you have an image that matches your reward and is ready to upload. When you upload the image, it will be cropped to square. The size limit is 2MB.


Create your Welcome Voucher

First, log into your account. If you are not sure how to do that, read Set Up Your Free Loyalty Program on Meed first.


Please navigate to the Voucher section, where we find the stamp card we recreated in a previous tutorial.


Note that you need to upgrade to the pro tier to have an active stamp card and a welcome voucher. You can read how to do that here.


Click the big plus sign above the words "Create a new campaign".

For this voucher, I have decided to offer a 10% discount to customers making their first purchase after joining Recaffeinated (which, if you have forgotten,n is the loyalty program for my coffee chain, Coffee Supremos.


So in the first column, I have:


  • selected the discount voucher template

  • called the voucher "Welcome!" as I want this to be the first thing people see.

  • Set the value at 10%

In the second column, I have:


  • Written a quick blurb, which will appear on the back of the voucher in the description box

  • Left the link to the terms and conditions blank because I don't have one on Coffee Addicts' website —mainly because there is no website for Coffee Addicts!

  • Added the minimum of one requirement, the ever-useful "Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer."

  • Uploaded a nice picture of a cup of coffee - this will be the image that is displayed on the voucher.


Upload Campaign Image

In the third column I have set an end date for the voucher of June 2025. I have left off all the switches below the calendar as I do not want this to be a stamp card or other reward mechanism. This voucher is immediately redeemable upon customer receipt.


Finalise Welcome Offer Campaign

After checking the preview, I click the big orange button, "Start Campaign." Then I click yes!


Confirm Campaign Launch

I am taken back to the campaign management screen. Now, I can see my welcome voucher next to the stamp card we created earlier.


Important: Because this is the first redeemable voucher for Recaffeinated, the system automatically marks it as a welcome voucher. If you create another voucher later you can change which voucher is shown when consumers join your program.

The voucher is disseminated to consumers immediately. Everyone on your program who has installed a pass in their Apple or Google wallet will be notified that there is a new offer.

Creating vouchers is quick and easy, and with the pro account, you can pack your customers' phones with reasons to come back to you repeatedly.
